Biography
As a primary care physician, Dr. Erin Wofford focuses on wellness and preventative care, women’s health and the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, COPD and asthma.
“I got into medicine the long way,” says Dr. Wofford. “First I was a medical receptionist, then a medic in the Army, and then an Army nurse. Every step I took in medicine made me more engaged and interested in the human body and treatment of illness,” she says.
“The best care is care that a patient believes in and wants. I believe in a collaborative approach that allows patients to decide their priorities. I meet them where they are to help them reach their health goals. I also love being able to see multiple members from the same family and really get to know my patients throughout their lifespan.”
Dr. Wofford is originally from New Mexico, but she and her family enjoy living in the Indiana/Kentucky region, taking their children on outdoor adventures, running in local 5K races and visiting area orchards in the Fall.
