Occupational Therapy

Physical Therapy
If an injury or illness has caused a physical limitation or loss of function, outpatient physical therapy can offer a personalized treatment plan to restore your health, wellness, and performance. Many techniques are used with the goals of decreasing pain or stiffness and increasing strength, flexibility, and function. Physical therapists help their patients to adapt to assistive devices and provide education to help you manage your physical condition.

- Balance and fall prevention training
- Blood flow restriction training (BFR)
- Dry needling
- Neurological and stroke rehabilitation
- Orthopedic conditions including joint replacements
- Parkinson’s/LSVT “Big”
- Pelvic rehabilitation

- Soft tissue mobilization and cupping
- Sports medicine therapy (including FMS and Y balance testing)

Speech Therapy
If injury or illness has caused a limitation or loss of function, outpatient speech therapy can offer a personalized treatment plan to restore your communication, cognition, and swallowing to maximize quality of life. Speech therapists help patients meet their full potential for safety and independence through individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.

- Swallowing
- FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
- VFSS (Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Study)
- NMES (Neuromuscular electrical stimulation)
- MDTP certified clinicians (McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program)
- Voice: To help individuals with a variety of voice disorders including:
- Vocal nodules or polyps
- Vocal cord dysfunction or paralysis
- Chronic cough / irritable larynx syndrome
- Resonance disorders
- Hyperfunctional or hypofunctional voice
- LSVT certified clinicians (Lee Silverman Voice Therapy for Parkinson’s)
- Cognition: Strategies to improve cognitive functioning or compensations to increase independence/safety with memory, attention, problem solving, reasoning, and sequencing
- Rehabilitation from stroke, brain injury, neuromuscular disorder, or progressive diseases (ALS, MS, MG, dementia, GBS, MSA, Parkinson’s, brain tumors, etc.)
- Language – expressive/receptive (aphasia)
- Dysarthria: Improve articulation through intervention to improve function and compensatory strategies
